Hands-On Experience

Get a real feel for horseback riding with our twice daily trail rides on our well cared for, healthy horses, suitable for all levels of experience. With our hands on approach, every rider will have the chance to assist with grooming and tacking their horse before their ride.

Trails for Miles

No matter if you are a beginner wanting to ride with a guide lazily across beautiful open pastures or a more experienced rider, ready to trot or lope through lush wooded trails, we have a ride to suit your experience level.

Delicious food to boot!

Why not stop a while and recharge? Our kitchen team are waiting to treat you to a delicious lunch before or after your ride. For those seeking a whole day out, we also serve dinner!

Trail Rides

From $50

Our trail rides depart twice daily, year round!  You can pick from our one or two hour of saddle time ride options.  Suitable for beginners and experienced riders alike.

Ride + Meal Bundle

From $68

All that saddle time will make your hungry!  Add on a delicious buffet lunch or dinner to your riding reservation.  Meals include hot buffet,  salad bar, soft drinks and deserts.

Day Packages

From $215

Make a day of it! This package option allow our visitors  to be our “guests for the day” and get a taste of what it’s like to stay at our ranch.  Package includes riding, lunch, dinner and free time to enjoy our swimming pool and facilities.

Select from two daily departure times, for one hour or two. Add on meals and other upgrades if you wish. Use the button below to find our ride availability.

2. Get here

Finding the ranch is easy! We are located on I-20, about an hour from Atlanta. Upon check in you will learn everything you need to know to enjoy your time with us!

3. Get saddled!

Saddle up and enjoy your ride, we have miles of wooded trails and open pastures to explore! Enjoy time catching up with friends or quietly see what wildlife you can spot, the choice is yours!

Southern Cross Guest Ranch, Georgia’s premier trail riding, horse farm and vacation destination, offers something for everyone.  Conveniently nestled in Central Georgia’s Historic Heartland and within an hour drive from Atlanta. 

The ranch is a working horse farm and home to well over 150 quality Paint and Quarter horses and is  best known for its exceptional hands-on horseback riding program, personalized riding experience, and peaceful, comfortable setting.

Visitor FAQs

Absolutely! We have horses for every level of rider. Our experienced staff will also teach you basic horse riding skills and be there to answer your questions and assist you.

Yes, if you or anyone in your party is over 250lbs we do ask that you call us, prior to making your reservation.

Yes. Children 4 to 7 MUST ride tandem with a parent or guardian. Anyone 9 and older will be given their own horse. Children at the age of 8, depending on experience, may ride tandem with a parent or guardian or ride their own horse.

It is suggested that you wear comfortable pants and closed-toe shoes with a small heel. Sneakers are permitted but not advised. NO OPEN FLIP FLOPS OR HIGH HEELS.
